Launched in 2016, FC Cincinnati skyrocketed into American soccer’s consciousness with dynamic performances on the field and an electric fanbase in the stands. Initially invited to lead his hometown professional side’s digital efforts prior to their inaugural campaign, the role quickly expanded to include all of the club’s branding and graphic design needs.
During his time at FCC, D.J. developed the club’s digital and physical advertising, in-stadium branding, and even their wildly popular 2018 Nike home and away kits. Additionally, he oversaw and maintained the club’s website, social media channels, and provided written content for various print and digital properties.
Lastly, due to his deep ties to and knowledge of the local soccer community, D.J. was also tasked with overseeing and maintaining the club’s relationship with the club’s independent supporters groups. This included the launch of a club-recognized supporters council — through which fans could interact with and provide feedback to the club on various subjects — and serving as a liaison to communicate with rival clubs and the league headquarters on matters involving the supporters.
